Solomon Lawson

Solomon, 30, was owned by Anthony Lawson in Princess Ann County. He does not appear with that name in Lawson's tithables but the tothables for Princess Anne are very patchy. He could be the Sam listed, along with Ned and Jacob Lawson until 1779. If so it is most likely they ran at the end of 1780, however Solomon could have run in 1776 as he says. He is listed in the Birchtown muster with his wife Chloe aged 23. This is probably Chloe, 23, formerly slave to Thomas Benn, Nansemond who claims to have run in 1776.
